BEAR Update
November 21, 2011

Hunters and Recreationists: Please continue to carry your bear spray and stay aware of your surroundings. Some bears have not denned. Do not assume that the snow means all bears are down for the winter.

Rattlesnake: We have reports of a lone bear still wandering the Rattlesnake looking for garbage goodies. Please stay vigilant in securing your attractants. Hopefully, he will not be able to find garbage and will den soon.

Blackfoot/Clearwater: Hunters are still reporting lots of signs of grizzly activity. If you are taking advantage of these few days off to go hunting please carry bear spray and be aware of your surroundings.

Fun Fact: Bears give birth in their dens. When a grizzly cub is born it only weighs about 1lb!
